SAMPLE BRIEF

A sample brief you can send today

A usable brief fits on one screen. If the first email is only “need factory price”, you will get incomparable quotes. Use this list. You can send it to me or use it on your own. TRESTRONG is a coordinator, not the only inbox that can receive a brief.

What to send

  1. Brand link or three competitor links
  2. Target market and channel (DTC, wholesale, supply store, stockist)
  3. Route guess: ready-made / handmade / machine-made / mix / tell me
  4. Shape family and length band
  5. Sizing system: 10 / 24 / 30 / other
  6. Finish and art references (photos)
  7. Set contents: glue, tabs, file, insert, extra nails
  8. Packaging: unbranded test vs private label
  9. Rough test quantity and whether a restock is expected
  10. The decision this sample must support (fit, price band, art, pack-out)
  11. Deadline only if it is real

What I do with it

I turn the list into the same columns for more than one specialist manufacturer: product, packaging, MOQ, timing and communication.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need SKU codes first?

No. Photos and the fields above are enough for sample one.

Can I skip packaging for a fit sample?

Yes, for a design read. Not if you are approving a retail kit.
