Most nail supply stores already sell gel, powder, tips and art. Press-ons are a different SKU logic: set architecture, sizing mix, glue-versus-tabs, and a pack that a tech can sell off the shelf. I coordinate machine-made and ready-made routes in China for that job. I do not ask a store to adopt a handmade atelier model unless that is actually the brief.
What a first distributor test should decide
Retail kits for walk-in customers versus wholesale packs for salons; sizing system; shapes in the first box; house-branded or unbranded packaging; and what restock means in weeks.
What I will not do
I will not present one exclusive factory as the answer to every price band. Different plants run different art levels. Quotes are compared on product, packaging, MOQ and timing against the same brief.
A brief that is enough to start
Store or distributor site, country, whether you already sell press-ons, a target test quantity, and the question you need answered.
Frequently asked questions
Can we add press-ons next to gel and tips without a new brand?
Yes. Many first tests are unbranded or lightly private-labelled machine-made sets. A house brand comes after the first restock, not before the first sample.
Do techs need a license to buy?
That is your counter policy, not a China production question. Tell me the policy so packaging and pack size match how you sell.
